IJAES Copyright and Intellectual Property
This page explains the rules regarding copyright, use of published materials, author responsibility and protection of content available on the International Journal of Academic and Editorial Studies platform.
Author rights
Authors retain rights over submitted and published works, except for the rights granted to IJAES for electronic publication, display, archiving, technical processing, editorial promotion and distribution according to platform settings.
Publishing right granted to the platform
By submitting a work and accepting publication, the author grants IJAES the non-exclusive right to electronically publish the work and display metadata, cover, abstract, author data and editorial information required to identify the publication.
Author responsibility
- the author declares that the work is original or that the necessary publication rights are held
- the author is responsible for proper citation of sources used
- the author must obtain permission for images, tables, charts, excerpts or third-party materials
- the author is responsible for copyright, personal rights or confidentiality violations
- IJAES may refuse, suspend or withdraw works that infringe copyright
Use of publications by readers
Publications available on IJAES may be accessed according to the access conditions displayed in the platform. Users may not massively copy, redistribute, sell, modify or republish materials without legal right, author consent or appropriate editorial permission.
Metadata, author profile and citation
For published works, IJAES may publicly display title, author, affiliation, ORCID, abstract, keywords, field, publication type, cover, publication date and other editorial metadata required for academic identification.
Platform content and design
The IJAES logo, website visual structure, interface elements, pages, institutional texts, electronic certificates and technical components are protected and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Electronic certificates
Electronic certificates issued by IJAES confirm electronic publication of a work in the platform. The certificate does not transfer copyright and does not remove author responsibility for originality and legality of content.
Prohibited uses
- full or massive copying of publications without rights
- reselling materials downloaded from the platform
- modifying or republishing works without permission
- removing author name, metadata or editorial information
- using the IJAES logo, certificate or design for false or misleading purposes
- uploading materials for which the user does not hold publication rights
Copyright infringement reports
Persons who believe that material published on IJAES infringes copyright may submit a report through the contact page. The report should identify the work, describe the claimed right and provide sufficient information for verification.
Removal or correction of materials
In case of confirmed infringements, IJAES may correct metadata, restrict access, suspend publication or withdraw the material from the platform, depending on the situation and available documents.
Respect for academic rights
IJAES supports protection of academic creation, respect for copyright and responsible use of scientific and editorial materials.
